Duke web3 pitches & VC networking
NYC (10/1), SF (10/11), LA (10/15), Dubai (10/21), Bangkok (11/13)
This newsletter is read by legislators, entrepreneurs, investors, educators, and a wide range of professionals. Almost 14,000 people have subscribed. I share news, stories, and events related to Duke and web3. I appreciate people reading it and sharing with others.
I travel around the globe and meet thousands of people from the Web3 industry. These individuals come from all ages and backgrounds. It feels great to see people embracing the technology and ownership aspects of this innovation. Web3 is probably the only technology that is still keeping this world globally oriented and community supportive.
Right after Singapore our next stop is New York with Networking & pitch competition on 10/1 @6pm at PwC office. Join to pitch your startup idea, network with VC’s and fellow founders, and learn about new tech.
Next stops would announced soon, but mark your calendars before:
SF - 11-13 of October
LA - 13-15 of October
Dubai - 20-24 of October
Bangkok - 12-15 of November
Our Singapore pitch competition winner is Paxum Protocol - building robust infrastructure and banking solutions that support the tokenization of Real World Assets.
Thank you CoralApp for supporting our Singapore event - Thank you Icy, #GoDuke!
⛺️ Fundraising BootCamp X - 9/28
After 1st fundraising bootcamp the format is evolving. I will spend more time on diagnostics of the current fundraising efforts and helping to fine-tune strategies as a result of a bootcamp. This Saturday I am waiting for web2.0 founders only. Here is a coupon to redeem for Saturday session: https://lu.ma/s2gztvu7?coupon=2RLAI4.
Example Results of the first BootCamp:
Fundraising bottleneck: Successful angel round completed, but a bridge round is needed before the app launch. VCs require more traction and validation. Proposed solution: Share case studies on how to gain traction before the launch; provide a list of Duke angel investors.
MVP bottleneck: Developed a model for a rental sharing business but struggled to launch it remotely due to a lack of industry knowledge and contacts. Proposed solution: Connected with a person who works in the same industry in the desired locations.
My experience: Founder or C-level at 6 startups, mentored 100+ startup founders, helped raise $11M for early-stage startups and $1B for SAP.
…and for Web3.0 I will take up to 5 founders for a bootcamp on the 5th of October:
Share my newsletter with founders who want to be discovered by VC’s and the world, and with investors that want to meet with the founders that’ve discovered and prepared to change the world.
CU at one of our events very soon!
